Course Info

This course invites people steeped in Western theological tradition to reread the Holy Bible through the perspective of Jews who lived in the biblical past. These insights into the Scriptures are gleaned by looking deeper into the cultural context, original languages, traditions, and history connected with these ancient texts. Be ready to have some traditional interpretations of familiar biblical passages challenged to their core. The suggested alternative interpretations will be more consistent with the historical background and will result in a more natural reading of the text. Prepare to be pleasantly surprised as you uncover previously unseen gems in God's Word.
