Course Info

In this course, you, along with your instructor Dr. Eli Lizorkin-Eyzenberg, will journey through 19 blessings of the core Jewish prayer commonly called the Amidah. With characteristic passion and attention to detail, your instructor will lead the class into a deeper devotional experience highlighting many points of contact between the Amidah, Lord's Prayer and the teachings of the Apostles. Each section of this ancient Jewish prayer will be re-translated directly from Hebrew, so those members of our learning community who either had some Hebrew or have at least memorized the alphabet will be able to double the blessing received as the result of taking this mini-course. No prior knowledge of Hebrew, however, is necessary to take this fascinating study that will both inform and transform your prayer life.

I enjoyed learning the beautiful Jewish prayer, Amidah. Thank you for taking the time to instruct us and give us insight into this prayer. It was also great to learn more Hebrew in context! The sound quality needs to be better, but the content is great.

I am always supposed to pick one thing that can be improved. I usually pick the video quality, and in this case, especially, it's absolutely true! Dr Eli always teaches from the languages, and in this video, and in this series of lessons, the vowel points are very hard to see, to read properly!! It needs to be focused much.Otherwise, this series is a great set! Highly interesting, and outstanding!

Add the teachers side notes in the printable notes. These most often help in the understanding of the Hebrew mind.
