Course Info

The Jewish Gospel of John is an invitation to the reader to put aside their traditional understanding of the Gospel of John and to replace it with another one more faithful to the original text perspective. The Jesus that will emerge will provoke to rethink most of what you knew about this gospel. Other than challenging the long-held interpretations of well-known stories, the author, with the skill of an experienced tour guide, takes us to a seat within those who most probably heard this gospel read in the late first century. This mini-course covers chapters 14-21 of John’s Gospel.

As a gentile believer, this material helps me so much to understand the world that Jesus was living in at the time. The politics, the division etc are now visible to me and I can understand the story a little more clearly. Thank you so much.

I LOVE it! I really learned a lot. Also, this course has covered some things that I have thought about but did not fully understand. It brought clarity to my sometimes fuzzy thinking. Thank you!

Having the explanation from an early Jewish perspective sheds so much light on the "why" of scripture and is so appreciated. I am always cognizant of the concept that if one doesn't even know the question then one won't understand the answer. This course did a lot to present the questions or confusion of the day making it so much more meaningful when reading the answers - the text.
