Dr. Adele Reinhartz

Dr. Adele Reinhartz is a Professor of Classics and Religious Studies at the University of Ottawa, as well as the current vice-president and president-elect of the Society of Biblical Literature. She has authored numerous articles and several books, including Cast Out of the Covenant: Jews and Anti-Judaism in the Gospel of John; Caiaphas the High Priest; and Jesus of Hollywood. In these works Dr. Reinhartz depicts the Gospel of John as fundamentally anti-Jewish in orientation, the historical circumstances that could have motivated this approach, and other deep questions related to Jewish and Christian communities of the first century.
