Dr. Amy-Jill Levine is the E. Rhodes and Leona B. Carpenter Professor of New Testament and Jewish Studies at Vanderbilt University. Her books include The Misunderstood Jew: The Church and the Scandal of the Jewish Jesus and (with Douglas A. Knight) The Meaning of the Bible: What the Jewish Scriptures and Christian Old Testament Can Teach Us. Together with Marc Zvi Brettler, Prof. Levine is co-editor of The Jewish Annotated New Testament and co-author of The Bible With and Without Jesus: How Jews and Christians Read the Same Stories Differently.
