Dr. George Anton Kiraz is one of the foremost scholars of Syriac — an ancient Aramaic language used in some branches of Eastern Christianity. He is the co-founder and editor-in-chief of Gorgias Press and a senior research associate at the Institute for Advanced Study at Princeton University, as well as an ordained deacon in the Syriac Orthodox Church. Dr. Kiraz's books include A Computer-Generated Concordance to the Syriac New Testament; a Comparative Edition of the Syriac Gospels; a Grammar and a Primer of the Syriac language; and also a book about his father entitled Anton Kiraz’s Archive on the Dead Sea Scrolls.
