Dr. Joan Taylor is a Professor of Christian Origins and Second Temple Judaism at King’s College London. Her books include The Essenes, the Scrolls, and the Dead Sea; The Immerser: John the Baptist within Second Temple Judaism; Jewish Women Philosophers of First-Century Alexandria; and most recently What Did Jesus Look Like? In addition, she is a novelist and a commentator on current social issues. Dr. Taylor has many innovative ideas regarding the Essene communities, John, Jesus, Paul, and other aspects of Second Temple Judaism.
