Dr. Eli Lizorkin-Eyzenberg is founding director and professor of ancient cultures at Israel Bible Center. His Ph.D. dissertation focused on the third-century Syriac Christian sage Aphrahat and his interactions with the local Jewish community. He has also written extensively on the gospel of John, a Jewish perspective on Mary/Miriam, and related topics.
In this free-flowing conversation with Dr. Yeshaya Gruber of the Israel Bible Center, Dr. Eli shares from his many experiences and insights on various aspects of scholarship, religious authority, truth-seeking, identity, and Jewish and Christian practices and beliefs.
