David Neuhaus

Patriarchal Vicar for Saint James Vicariate for Hebrew-Speaking Catholics in Israel

David Neuhaus earned BA, MA and PhD degrees in Political Science at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and later studied theology at Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome. Professor Neuhaus joined the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) in 1994 and was ordained to the priesthood in 2000.

In 2009, Fr. Neuhaus was appointed Patriarchal Vicar for Hebrew-speaking Catholics in Israel. He currently lectures at the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem Seminary and in the Religious Studies Department at Bethlehem University. His primary interests are in Jewish-Christian relations and early Christianity.  Dr. Neuhaus often lectures to seminary students on the foundations of Judaism.
