Dr. Emanuel Tov (professor emeritus, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem) is one of the best-known and most influential Biblical scholars in the world. His Textual Criticism of the Hebrew Bible is the standard reference work in the field. For twenty years he served as editor-in-chief of Discoveries in the Judaean Desert, the academic publication of the Dead Sea Scrolls; he is also an editor of the Hebrew University Bible Project. Prof. Tov has authored hundreds of scholarly articles, books, and computerized tools on the Hebrew Bible, the Septuagint, and the Qumran scrolls. For his achievements, he was awarded the prestigious Israel Prize in Biblical Studies.
