Bruce D. Chilton is Bernard Iddings Bell Professor of Philosophy and Religion and Executive Director of the Institute of Advanced Theology at Bard College. He is the editor of Brill’s series The New Testament Gospels in their Judaic Contexts as well as the author of numerous groundbreaking books, including Jesus: An Intimate Biography; Paul: An Intellectual Biography; Resurrection Logic: How Jesus’ First Followers Believed God Raised Him from the Dead; and The Herods: Murder, Politics, and the Art of Succession. In addition to his scholarly work, he is an ordained Anglican priest.
